Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Franciscan Medicine Clinic in Port Orchard, WA. In this full-time role, you will prepare patient charts, record vitals, assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and support a cohesive care team to maintain smooth patient flow.

No weekends; on-site parking provided; WA state LPN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for practitioner's visit; rooms patients, records vital signs and other information, including height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem; chaperones and documents the patient exam, ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Performs, or assists with, patient care, diagnostic tests and clinical procedures per scope of licensure; follows protocols and refers complex cases to an RN or provider.
• Assists with point-of-care testing (CLIA-Waived) and lab tests per protocols.
• Administers medications per provider order; tracks usage; inventories controlled substances.
• Documents procedures in patient records; enters, pends and signs orders as appropriate.
• Organizes exam rooms; maintains supplies; cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Clinic LPN for our busy Franciscan Medicine Clinic in Port Orchard, WA. We are a large Primary and Multispecialty clinic with a cohesive and patient centered care team. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required. Free Onsite Parking!

Every day, you\'ll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

• Prepares patients for practitioner visit; rooms patients, obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem; chaperones and documents the patient exam, ensuring patient privacy and comfort.
• Performs, or assists with, patient care, diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; follows triage standing orders/protocols for routine nursing situations and refers complex, urgent or emergent situations to an RN or provider.
• Assists with point of care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests only)/lab tests following established protocols/instructions.
• Administers patient medications per written provider order; tracks and logs medication usage per established policies; inventories counts of controlled substances.
• Documents procedures and interactions in patient’s medical record in accordance with established procedures; enters, pends and signs orders as appropriate.
• Organizes exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep and re-stocking of supplies; prepares, cleans and sterilize instruments and maintains related equipment.

Preferred

• One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or
• two years of acute care LPN work experience

Pay Range

$28.55 - $48.43 /hour
