Job summary

Westchester Village in Lenexa, KS is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to join our team. You will plan, organize, and assist in direct and indirect resident care following established nursing policies and standards, while orienting and supervising staff.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate with active state licensure and CPR certification; 1–2 years of LTC/Skilled Nursing Charge Nurse experience is preferred. We offer a family-like culture and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school and hold current state licensure with CEU requirements.
• Preferably 1–2 years of Charge Nurse experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Must be CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement resident care based on nursing standards and policy.
• Make daily rounds to check condition and comfort of residents.
• Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection.
• Assist DON/RN with plans of care including spiritual, emotional, and functional factors.
• Encourage restorative care in self-care and group activities.
• Monitor staff compliance with policies and evaluate nursing performance.
