Care Initiatives is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Charge Nurse team in Iowa on a PRN schedule. The role focuses on comprehensive resident care, leading the unit, and coordinating with physicians and families to ensure quality outcomes.

Applicants must hold a valid Iowa LPN license and CPR, with supervisory training or the ability to obtain within 90 days. A competitive hourly wage plus shift differential is offered, along with benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Valid LPN license in good standing (Iowa eligibility).
• Current CPR Certification.
• State-approved LPN Supervisory Course completed or within first 90 days.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
• Strong commitment to empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Aufgaben

• Conduct ongoing assessments of residents’ clinical status and contribute to individualized care planning.
• Deliver and oversee direct nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and other skilled interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with accurate documentation.
• Serve as a clinical leader coordinating resident care and communicating with physicians, leadership, residents and families.
• Supervise and mentor CNAs and other staff to promote accountability and high-quality care.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and infection prevention practices.
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and families about care plans and health goals.
