Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and NY LPN licensure is required.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience with supervisory potential preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assign resident care on the unit according to patient needs and staff abilities.
• Observe residents and document observations in medical records; notify Nurse Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide continuity of care across three shifts; update care plans and communicate with families and staff.
• Review physicians' orders daily and ensure proper nursing actions.
• Participate in resident teaching programs and QA activities.
