Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (Charge) to evaluate and direct nursing care on a designated unit. You will guide staff, assign resident care, and document plans to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities include rounds with physicians, updating care plans, and participating in quality assurance activities while maintaining compliance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with active NY LPN licensure.
• Minimum one year nursing experience preferred for supervisory readiness.
• Current BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and direct nursing care on a designated unit per policy and supervisor guidance.
• Assign resident care based on needs and staff competency, observing residents closely.
• Maintain detailed nursing documentation and update care plans with the team.
• Lead nursing rounds, participate in care conferences, and ensure QA activities.
