Job summary

JML Care Center in Massachusetts–Falmouth is hiring an LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities include directing day-to-day nursing operations, planning shifts, charting records, administering medications, and participating in surveys. Requires an active LPN license, BLS/CPR, and ability to lift 50 lbs; schedule is 24 hours per week with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN license to practice as an LPN in this state.
• BLS / CPR and AED Program Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet all other physical and sensory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Plan shifts’ services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing staff and support personnel.
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; verify patient identity.
• Chart nurses’ notes reflecting care provided and patient responses.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies.
