Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Qualicare Nursing Home in Detroit, MI oversees resident care during assigned shifts under the Director of Nursing. You will supervise CNAs/STNAs and coordinate care to ensure safety and continuity for residents and families.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
Current state license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs
Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
