Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Behavioral Health department in Kankakee, IL. The role features day shifts, full-time hours, and rotating weekends/holidays, with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice and supports psychosocial needs.
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Ensures effective communication with patient and family and coordinates care.
