Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care for patients with common health problems in a 42-bed acute care psychiatric hospital.

The LPN will work within a multidisciplinary team under RN supervision, follow the nursing process, ensure medication safety, accurate documentation, and comply with Joint Commission and state regulations.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in good standing is required.
• Experience providing nursing care in a behavioral health setting is a plus.
• Ability to document assessments and care plans accurately.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to patients and reassesses according to unit protocol.
• Documents findings clearly in patient records and communicates with the care team.
• Implements care plans and administers medications per physician orders.
• Performs bedside nursing tasks, wound care, and ADL assistance as needed.
• Communicates patient needs and supports coping strategies for patients.
• Provides leadership and precepts new staff, ensuring continuity of care.
