Overview

A leading healthcare company with multiple facilities in Ohio is currently recruiting for an LPN Assistant Director of Nursing to join the leadership team at a facility in the Cincinnati, OH area.

Responsibilities

The LPN Assistant Director of Nursing assists the DON with planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department.

Qualifications, Knowledge/Skills, and Abilities

• Must possess a current LPN license in the state where the center is located.
• Minimum of a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved LPN program.
• At least 5 years of prior LPN Nursing Supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Long Term Care and Behavioral Health.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, standards of practice, state practice acts, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Excellent tactful communication skills with team members, staff, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
• Leadership, teaching, supervisory abilities, and a willingness to work harmoniously with team members.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies, and procedures to ensure quality care.
