Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Stow, OH is seeking an LPN for the Ob/Gyn Unit at Stow Health and Wellness. You will provide hands-on patient care under the supervision of an RN, physician, or other clinicians, and participate in data collection, assessments, and care planning.

The role requires compassionate, consistent nursing care, ability to perform routine labs, educate patients and families, and support orientation of new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

The Ob/Gyn Unit at Stow Health and Wellness offers specialized care for women, including comprehensive prenatal care, preventative health screenings and general gynecology. As an LPN on this team, your work will be primarily hands-on, with an expectation to assist with numerous procedures. Some of your patients may experience infertility, gynecologic cancer and other sensitive conditions, so compassion and empathy are critical. In this position, you can make a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of your patients and their families.

A caregiver in this position works varying hours between 6:30am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Floating to other nearby CC locations may be required once per month.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of patient care experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.


• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.


• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.


• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.


• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.


• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $23.25

Maximum hourly: $33.50
