Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an LPN for Advanced Surgery in Beckley, WV. This full-time, dayshift, in-person role supports RN-led care and emphasizes accurate assessments, wound care, med administration, and patient documentation.

You will assist with care planning, daily living activities, and coordinating procedures while ensuring patient advocacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Current LPN/PN license to practice in the Commonwealth of VA (as stated).
• Basic life support certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN direction in patient assessment by collecting data.
• Perform plan of care interventions including wound care and specimen collection.
• May administer medications.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist RN with developing the plan of care.
• Assist patients with ADLs, hygiene, nutrition and mobility.
• Monitor and communicate patient status and responses to interventions.
• Advocate for patient physical and emotional well-being.
• Schedule and coordinate procedures and tests as ordered.
• Obtain insurance re-authorizations as needed.
