Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a contingent Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Behavioral Health Team in Newark, Ohio. The role focuses on basic medical assessments, medication administration, and coordination of physician visits for youths served.

Key duties include documenting care, notifying physicians of findings, and ensuring adherence to standing orders and medical policies. This position requires an LPN license and Friday availability.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with valid licensure.
• Nursing experience working with adolescents preferred.
• Proficient use of computers and basic software.
• Scheduled Hours: every Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments on each client and provide medical care.
• Administer medications per physician orders and educate staff as needed.
• Ensure timely documentation and record keeping.
• Coordinate examinations with consulting physicians for each person served.
• Identify abnormal findings and notify physicians.
• Ensure compliance with Medical Policies and Standing Orders.
