Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the Surgical - 3 SSU team in Cedar Rapids, IA. This 0.4 FTE position supports RN-led care, participates in the nursing process, and assists with monitoring, reporting, and patient comfort across shifts including weekend rotations.

You’ll work under RN supervision to ensure safe transitions and evidence-based care. Responsibilities span clinical care, medication administration, and documentation, with a focus on patient

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited LPN program and eligible to take licensure exam.
• Current LPN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide patient care.
• Obtains instruction and supervision when implementing new nursing practices.
• Administers medications and IV fluids within scope of practice.
• Provides patient care with safety and well-being in focus.
• Performs duties under RN supervision and hospital policy.
