Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Canonsburg is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Canonsburg Hospital 2 North Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. This 16-bed unit focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation services with a collaborative team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries.

You will provide direct patient care under the direction of the registered nurse, supporting rehabilitation goals, safety, and quality of life for patients recovering from illness, surgery, or injury.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assists with preparation of equipment and supports the clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing.
• Collects assessment data and documents clinical information; reports changes to RN/APN/physician.
• Orders and gathers diagnostic tests as directed by the clinical provider and reviews results.
• Schedules procedures and obtains required authorizations; assists with basic medical tasks including administering medications and specimen collection.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
