Job summary

Fairmont of Washington Township in Dayton, OH, is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs under the supervision of the RN and Nursing Administration.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and licensed by the State or in training to satisfactorily complete requirements to become an LPN.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a nursing capacity desirable.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures and laws.
• Knowledge of regulations governing long-term care desirable.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents as assigned.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of CNAs as directed by RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration.

General Purpose

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
