Job summary

Fairmont Senior Living in Westlake, OH, is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants. The role follows federal, state, and local standards under the guidance of the RN, Director of Nursing, and Administration.

Candidates should be an LPN in good standing, at least 18, and proficient in English. Prior nursing experience is desirable, with a strong, positive attitude toward the elderly and a commitment to high quality

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a LPN.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a nursing capacity desirable.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws.
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care desirable.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to the residents.
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained in accordance with federal, state and local standards.
• Follow directions from the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for residents.
