Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning in Trumbull, CT is hiring a License Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee health and nursing care for individuals served. The role focuses on ensuring needs are met, complying with state regulations and Aspire policies, and supporting staff, providers, coordinators and families.

The LPN will train others on essential health matters, provide ongoing consultation, and may be included in staffing minimums within group homes.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have demonstrated computer literacy.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of clerical procedures and system.
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings.
• Must possess an active nursing license in the state in which you’re working.
• Must have satisfactory background checks
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality of health and nursing care for individuals served.
• Ensure staff and health care providers attend to identified needs and comply with state regulations and Aspire policies and procedures.
• Train and educate all parties on essential health related matters; provide ongoing consultation and support to individuals, staff, providers, coordinators and family/guardians.
• LPN may be part of staffing minimums within the group homes.
