About The Role

At Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, a Care Options for Kids company, we provide 1:1 care in the home. We do things differently: no revolving door of patients or hospital chaos. Support is available 24/7 from your Director of Nursing, with on-demand clinical resources.

A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse

You start your day by communicating with your care team and reviewing client information in our dedicated EHR platform. You care for a non-verbal client, assisting with activities like feeding, bathing, and engaging in activities like outdoor walks or crafts. You administer medications and perform routine care, documenting electronically. Your day concludes with final documentation and team communication, making each day fulfilling and less like work.

Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

Minimum Requirements for LPNs

• Valid New Jersey LPN or Multistate License
• Physical exam within the last three years
• PPD or Chest X-Ray
• In-person BLS CPR card
• Valid driver’s license
• G-tube, trach, vent experience or willingness to train
