Job summary

Pawnee Nation Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential medical support within a new inpatient/outpatient behavioral health setting in Pawnee, Oklahoma. You will perform medical assessments, monitor patients, educate on medication adherence, and aid daily facility operations as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain before start date.
• Experience working with substance use disorder patients preferred.
• Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and best practices in addiction treatment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients on medication adherence.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Must have or be able to obtain a current First Aid & CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical assessments for patients during the intake process, including reviewing medical history, taking vitals, and performing drug screenings.
• Oversee confidential health risk assessments and ensure patients have access to counseling and testing services.
• Educate patients on medication adherence and provide relevant health information tailored to their care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and medical needs throughout their recovery journey.
• Assist in the daily operations of the facility, including front desk support and administrative responsibilities.
• Generate and review monthly Medication Administration Records (MARs), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program protocols and best practices in behavioral health.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
