Job summary

AA Healthcare Management in Illinois is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents and to supervise daily nursing tasks performed by Certified Nursing Assistants. The LPN will coordinate all aspects of resident care with other disciplines in the facility, under federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Illinois LPN license.
• Experience in long-term care or resident care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Transcribe physician orders.
• Document resident information and notify physician/family as needed.
• Assist in Admission/Discharge processes.
• Complete accident/incident reports and follow-up investigations.
• Participate in care planning conferences and update plans.
• Maintain rapport with all disciplines to meet resident needs.
• Deal tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and authorities.
• Participate in continuing education programs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Overview:

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is to provide quality nursing care to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing functions performed by the Certified Nursing Assistants. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is also responsible for coordinating all aspects of a resident’s care with other disciplines in the facility. Job duties are governed by the current Federal and State regulations that govern the facility.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Duties:

• Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the physician.
