Job summary

AA Healthcare Management in Illinois seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver quality nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day CNA tasks.

The LPN coordinates all aspects of a resident’s care with other disciplines and ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations governing the facility. Strong documentation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold active IL LPN license.
• License must be current and unrestricted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the physician.
• Review medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Transcribe physician orders.
• Document all resident information and notify physician/family as needed.
• Assist in the Admission/Discharge process.
• Complete accident/incident reports and follow-up investigations.
• Be familiar with care planning and participate in care conferences.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with all disciplines to meet resident needs.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Participate in continuing education programs.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Overview:

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is to provide quality nursing care to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing functions performed by the Certified Nursing Assistants. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is also responsible to coordinate all aspects of a resident’s care with other disciplines in the facility. Job duties are in accordance with the current Federal and State regulations that govern the facility.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Duties:
