Job Overview
The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care by administering medication and treatments safely. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, conducting SHUs, and providing resident care in accordance with laws, standards, and Sunrise policies to promote quality care.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Starting Pay of $35+ per Hour

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in a safe, organized manner.
• Document medication administration accurately.
• Review and update resident logs and medication records.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
• Maintain confidentiality and report resident concerns.
• Assist with medication checks and restocking.
• Assess residents for "as needed" medications and document appropriately.
• Count narcotics with another MCM or LCM each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of medication areas.
• Support resident independence and dignity.
• Practice safety and infection control procedures.

Resident Care

• Communicate resident and family concerns.
• Participate in team meetings and care planning.
• Transcribe orders and update care plans.

Risk Management & Safety

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Report accidents and hazards immediately.
• Practice proper disposal of biohazards and exposure protocols.

Training & Team Contribution

• Participate in team activities and training.
• Attend meetings and potentially supervise shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and training.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN, LVN, or equivalent license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• At least 18 years old; experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities calmly.
