AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the endoscopy team under RN supervision. You will complete medical records, plan and implement patient care with the endoscopist, and educate patients and families before procedures, while maintaining room readiness and safety.

Required credentials include Technical/Vocational School or Associate’s degree, Florida LPN license, BLS, and LPN-IV; 2+ years of related experience preferred; ACLS and

Qualifications

• Technical/Vocational School or Associate’s degree required.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• LPN-IV certification required.
• ACLS and SGNA are preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

LPN provides care to the endoscopy patient under RN supervision.Completes medical records for all key physiologic, social, and psychological factors for endoscopy patients.Plans patient care using orders from the endoscopist, anesthesia, and RN input.Implements patient care and obtains informed consent.Carries out endoscopist’s and anesthesia’s orders.Performs pre-procedure testing and reports abnormal results.Educates patients and families before procedures.Delivers phase II post-procedure care and discharge education under RN supervision.Ensures continuity of care by timely reporting to caregivers.Practices accountability through teamwork, communication, and skill development.Stocks and cleans admit/recovery rooms as needed.Assists directly with procedures.Cleans, maintains, and documents endoscope care.Maintains endoscope cleaning supplies.Positions patients, secures monitors, and transports patients as required.Stocks and maintains procedure room supplies.Cleans procedure room and monitors.
