Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day shift. The position includes travel to satellite locations in Kissimmee and downtown Orlando to support patient care across multiple sites.

You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, document in the EMR, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, quality outcomes. A Florida LPN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • LPN license required.
  • 1+ year in acute care setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical nursing procedures.

Job Description:

AHMG Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Technological Avenue

345 Technological Avenue, Suite 15, Orlando, FL 32817

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

will travel to satellite locations in Kissimmee and downtown Orlando

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, psychosocial, environmental, and developmental health status.

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely, monitor patient responses, and document all related activities accurately.

  • Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes in medical records to ensure continuity of care.

  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and preventive care.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care delivery.

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations to stabilize and provide necessary care to patients.

  • Monitor patient status continuously, noting any significant changes or concerns, and report findings to the healthcare team.

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary data and materials are prepared.

  • Promote a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential safety hazards for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient outcomes, and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel based on their competence and scope of practice, ensuring safe and efficient care delivery.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation proficiency as required by unit specialty. [Required]
