Job summary

Fort Scott Presbyterian Village is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in daily tasks.

The role requires graduation from an approved LPN program and a current LPN license in the state, with knowledge of long-term care regulations. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with shift and weekend differential under our premium pay plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in this state.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures for long-term care.
• Previous geriatric/long-term care experience is a plus.
• I.V. Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community and as may be required by the department director or supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained. Reflects the value that the resident comes first. This employee values the Community as the residents’ home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care

Starting at $20.00 an hour PLUS Shift and Weekend Differential with our NEW PREMIUM PAY PLAN!

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And/or TRAINING

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN Program
• Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care
