Job summary
East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our School-Based Health Center in Forrest City, Arkansas. You will provide direct patient care to students, support examinations, administer medications and immunizations, and educate students and families in a school-based setting.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive primary care, preventive services, and health education.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Arkansas LPN license or ability to obtain one.
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in primary care, family practice, community health, or outpatient settings preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients to be seen by physicians and assist with procedures; administer medications as ordered.
- Assist with exams and wound care, including irrigation and dressing as needed.
- Schedule routine and preventive screenings following standing orders.
- Participate in clinical meetings and daily huddles; communicate concerns to the care team.
- Document patient information in the EMR per care guidelines.

- Experience assisting with gynecological exams, prenatal visits, and women's health education is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional Saturday coverage may be required from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Saturday shifts are scheduled in advance and shared among clinical staff as needed
