Job summary

East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our School-Based Health Center in Forrest City, Arkansas. You will provide direct patient care to students, support examinations, administer medications and immunizations, and educate students and families in a school-based setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive primary care, preventive services, and health education.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Arkansas LPN license or ability to obtain one.
Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Ability to provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in primary care, family practice, community health, or outpatient settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients to be seen by physicians and assist with procedures; administer medications as ordered.
Assist with exams and wound care, including irrigation and dressing as needed.
Schedule routine and preventive screenings following standing orders.
Participate in clinical meetings and daily huddles; communicate concerns to the care team.
Document patient information in the EMR per care guidelines.
