Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, following Piedmont Healthcare's mission and nursing process. The role involves collaborating with ancillary staff and other health care professionals to deliver holistic care.

Education: Graduation from an LPN program is required; new graduates are eligible. Licensure, BCLS, and department-specific certifications are required or will be completed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program required.
• New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• LPN licensure (State licensure) required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS required if working in Emergency Department.
• PALS required if working in Emergency Department within 180 days.

The Licensed Practical Nurse guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care. The Licensed Practical Nurse blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.

Work Experience

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for Preferred
• ACLS if working in Emergency Department Required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department within 180 Days Required
• LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
