Montefiore Medical Center in Yonkers, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time role. You will work three days per week, with day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and 7.5 scheduled hours per day, at a competitive hourly rate of $38.99.

This position requires providing hands-on nursing care under RN/physician supervision, documenting patient information accurately and managing routine care tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have NY LPN license and registration.
• BLS Card and Infection Control Certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care under RN/physician supervision, including administering medications, monitoring vitals, wound care and procedures.
• Accurately document patient information, vitals and interventions with 100% accuracy.
• Collect, label and log specimens (blood, biopsy) with careful attention to detail.
• Prepare and sterilize exam rooms; restock supplies and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to escalate issues, assist with discharge planning, and educate patients and families.
• Provide direct patient care for a defined population and offer patient education and discharge instructions.
