Job summary

Samuel Staffing in Anchorage, AK is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Heart Failure and EP clinics. You will work closely with physicians to deliver compassionate nursing care, educate patients, and support efficient clinic flow.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited LPN program, Alaska license, CPR certification, and preferably ACLS. Cardiology experience is highly valued, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN).
• Current Alaska LPN license.
• CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Cardiology experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs and histories, and assist with EKGs.
• Aid physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate patient charts, records, test results, and logs.
• Screen clinical calls, triage questions, and educate patients and families.

Job Summary

Join our healthcare delivery team to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in our Heart Failure and Electrophysiology (EP) departments. You will work closely with physicians to ensure high-quality care, patient education, and efficient clinic flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs/histories, and assist with 12-lead EKGs and treadmill tests.
• Physician Support: Aid physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Clinical Duties: Administer prescribed medications and treatments; observe and document patient reactions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts, records, test results, and telephone call logs.
• Communication: Screen clinical phone calls, route triage questions, and provide detailed patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN program).
• Licensure: Current Alaska State LPN license.
• Certifications: Current CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience: Cardiology experience is highly preferred.
