Job summary

Mennonite Village in Albany, Oregon is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled nursing team on a 12 Hour Day Shift. In our resident-centered, mission-driven community, you will administer medications, support admissions and discharges, and respond to call lights while building relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Possess a current, valid, and unencumbered LPN license for the state of Oregon.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of clinical experience in long term care preferred.
• Must meet required training outlined in regulations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to call light requests and monitor CNA/CMA call light response rates.
• Participate in the admission, discharge, and transfers of residents.
• Administer medications, treatments, and fluids as ordered by physicians.
• Complete documentation responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift 10lbs and occasionally lift 50lbs.
• Visual, auditory acuity, and dexterity of hands and fingers within normal limits.
• Assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• Ability to safely move frequently during workday, including carrying, lifting, standing, sitting, bending reaching, and kneeling.
• Ability to push and/or pull a wheelchair.
• May be subject to odors and exposure to infectious waste and diseases.
• Capable of transferring residents, according to care plan.
• Must be able to safely use all assisted devices as care planned.
