Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) reviewer to authorize Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans. Under supervision, you will review IATP for medical necessity, provide clinical guidance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role includes crisis evaluation, intervention, and collaboration with clinicians and community partners. The LPHA will work with experienced behavioral health teams, perform diagnostic assessments, and help develop patient-centered

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving to client situations.
• Ability to assess and diagnose, develop treatment plans, and provide guidance.

Responsibilities

• Acts as LPHA for Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plan (IATP) review.
• Provides clinical feedback to clinicians to support medical necessity and diagnosis.
• Ensures appropriate treatment recommendations, risk assessment, and safety planning.
• Performs diagnostic assessments and determines immediate treatment needs with patients.
• Requests medical consultation when indicated and documents activities.
• Develops treatment plans with patients and provides behavioral health therapy as needed.
• Coordinates with crisis and emergency services and maintains records per policies.
• Liaises with community agencies and care teams to align goals.
• May supervise clinicians and students within the department.
