Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) reviewer to authorize Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans under Medicaid Community-Based Mental Health Services rules.

The role includes providing clinical guidance to teams, ensuring IATP compliance, and delivering crisis evaluation as needed. Requires LCPC/LCSW/LMFT licensure and a Master’s degree with 2+ years in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to assess and diagnose; develop treatment plans and interventions.
• Interpersonal, professional, and ethical behavioral healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Acts as LPHA for IATP ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provides clinical feedback to clinicians to justify medical necessity and diagnosis.
• Completes risk assessments and safety planning.
• Ensures use of screening tools and results in treatment planning.
• Documents activities related to review and authorization of the IATP.
• Performs diagnostic assessments and determines immediate treatment needs.
• Requests medical consultations as indicated.
• Develops treatment plans with patient goals.
• Delivers behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, or groups.
• Coordinates with emergency/crisis teams for high-risk clients.
• Maintains records per policies and regulatory bodies.
• Acts as liaison between community, care providers, and payers.
• May supervise clinicians and students.
