Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) reviewer to authorize Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans. You will provide clinical guidance to teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct crisis evaluations as needed.

A Master’s degree and LCPC/LCSW/LMFT licenses are required. With a background in behavioral health and at least two years of experience, you will review IATP documentation, support treatment planning, and coordinate with emergency/crisis services.

• Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving to a range of client situations
• Ability to assess and diagnose and to develop treatment plans and interventions
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to provide clinical guidance to others
• Ability to plan and organize work
• Ability to recognize signs of suicidal behavior and respond appropriately

Responsibilities

• Acts as LPHA for Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plan (IATP) and ensures compliance with regulations and best practices
• Provides clinical feedback to clinicians to ensure medical necessity and accurate diagnosis
• Ensures safe and appropriate treatment recommendations and completes risk assessments and safety planning
• Completes screening/assessment tools and uses results in treatment planning
• Documents all activities for IATP review and authorization
• Performs diagnostic assessments and determines immediate treatment needs with patients
• Requests medical consultation when indicated in a timely manner
• Develops treatments with patient and sets goals aligned with identified needs
• Provides behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, and/or groups
• Coordinates with Emergency Response and crisis teams for high-risk cases
• Maintains records per policies and regulatory standards
• Liaises with community entities, primary care, courts, and managed care
• May supervise Carle Health clinicians or students
• Participates in training and competency activities
• Meets clinical productivity and documentation standards
