Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including veterans, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals with a range of mental health diagnoses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinical documentation, coordination of care, and collaboration with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and adherence to state and professional counseling standards.
  • Comfort with using electronic health records and basic office technology for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or counseling setting (internship or post-graduate) is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent full-time caseload and contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and client-centered practice culture.

Role Description

The LPC Associate will provide direct clinical services, including individual, couple, and family counseling, under appropriate supervision in an on-site setting in Houston, TX. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating counseling sessions, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with supervising clinicians and team members. The LPC Associate will participate in case consultations, follow ethical and legal guidelines, and contribute to an inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice environment. This is a full-time role that may include evening or weekend hours to meet client needs.
