Qualifications

• Active LPC license in Virginia.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling in a day healthcare setting.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Document progress and update plans regularly.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and healthcare staff.
• Offer crisis intervention when necessary.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups on coping and life skills.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to adult clients in a day healthcare environment


• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans


• Monitor and document client progress, updating treatment plans as needed


• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and healthcare staff


• Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary


• Facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on coping skills, mental wellness, and life skills


• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Virginia


• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field


• Experience working with adult populations, geriatric care, or behavioral health preferred


• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing)


• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
