Job summary

Oakwood School in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking a Recreation Leader & Student Support to supervise students, support literacy and classroom activities, and lead after-school recreation with teachers and staff. The role focuses on a safe, positive environment and collaboration across the school day.

The position involves assisting with Language Arts support, supervising recess and lunch, and transitioning into After-School Program activities. Start is immediate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with school age children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with schoolwork and recreation activities.
• Coordinate the creation, planning and maintenance of a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Maintain consistent supervision and active involvement with children inside and outside.
• Plan and implement appropriate, engaging activities.
• Maintain a warm, caring and non-judgmental attitude towards children and their families.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and materials in a neat, organized fashion.
• Fulfill campus responsibilities including lunch duty, crosswalk duty, or other duties as assigned.
