Qualifications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of classroom teaching experience with LD students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach structured literacy, writing, math, science, and social studies to students with language-based learning differences.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with Westmark’s mission.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams to plan curriculum.
  • Use restorative and trauma-informed practices within the classroom.
  • Maintain timely communication with families and the Director of Lower School.
  • Differentiate instruction and write narrative progress reports; support Parent-Teacher Conferences.
