Job summary

National Heritage Academies (NHA) seeks a Dean to lead a school site and drive academic excellence across classrooms. The Dean will mentor teachers, model effective instructional practices, and build collaborative leadership among staff to raise college readiness and student growth.

The role requires a strong background in educational leadership, licensure as required by state, and demonstrated success with at-risk populations. Occasional travel and active involvement in recruitment are expected.

Qualifications

• College diploma (BA or equivalent) in Education or related field.
• School Administrator Licensure in states where required.
• 3–5 years teaching experience with preferred prior school leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain a safe, engaging culture focused on student learning.
• Model all aspects of the Classroom Framework of Instructional Practice.
• Coach teachers towards instructional mastery with differentiated support.
• Manage and hold teachers accountable to college readiness through development.
• Routinely analyze data to drive instruction and professional development.
• Lead wing PLC meetings using data and state standards.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding for direct reports.
• Administer annual evaluations.
• Occasional travel required.
• Additional duties as assigned.
