Brookgreen Gardens is seeking a part-time Historical Interpreter / Tour Guide in Murrells Inlet, SC. This role involves transforming scripted material into engaging storytelling, leading tours, and operating tour vehicles and boats.

You will welcome guests, handle tickets, and maintain daily records, with training and collaboration with the Education team. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid SC driver's license, and a personable, energetic communicator willing to work outdoors

Qualifications

• Valid SC driver's license.
• Strong verbal communication and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and drive large vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Transform scripted material into memorable, interactive storytelling experiences.
• Lead engaging tours highlighting the Lowcountry's culture, history, and natural wonders.
• Operate tour vehicles and pontoon boats while sharing interpretive content.
• Welcome guests, collect tickets, and maintain accurate daily records.
• Attend interpretive training sessions and collaborate with the Education team to enhance programming.
