Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking a dependable Lowboy Truck Driver for our Pensacola, FL operations to move heavy equipment between job sites and support our local fleet.

You will load equipment onto a lowboy, secure cargo, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain driver logs, and comply with DOT/FMCSR safety rules. Requirements: valid Florida CDL Class A, 2 years of verifiable experience, current medical card, and availability to work days, nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Valid Florida CDL Class A license.
• Familiar with FMCSR regulations.
• Current medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work days, nights, or weekends.
• Drug screening and background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Load heavy equipment onto lowboy trailer and secure cargo.
• Haul and unload equipment at job sites safely.
• Perform pre-trip inspections.
• Maintain driver logs and complete required paperwork.
• Report problems or malfunctions and comply with safety regulations.
• Complete trip tickets and keep receipts.

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Lowboy Truck Driver position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for loading heavy equipment onto lowboy for transportation, properly securing cargo, hauling equipment, and unloading equipment at various job sites safely and efficiently
• Will perform a pre-trip inspection
• Report any problems or malfunctions
• Comply with all company, DOT, Federal, State, and local safety regulations
• Will complete a trip ticket for each move, keep receipt of materials hauled, and turn in tickets promptly
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and completed all required paperwork timely
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' verifiable work experience required
• Must have a valid Florida CDL Driver's license - Class A
• Must be familiar with FMCSR
• Must have a current medical card
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check
