Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. in Pensacola, FL is hiring a Lowboy Truck Driver to load and secure heavy equipment for transportation and to move it safely to job sites.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and comply with DOT and company safety rules. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience, a valid Florida CDL Class A, FMCSR familiarity, a current medical card, and the ability to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ verifiable work experience required.
• Must have a valid Florida CDL Driver’s license – Class A.
• Must be familiar with FMCSR (FMCSA regulations).
• Must have a current medical card.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load heavy equipment onto lowboy and secure cargo for transport.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle.
• Report any problems or malfunctions.
• Comply with all company, DOT, Federal, State, and local safety regulations.
• Complete a trip ticket for each move and maintain receipts.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations and complete required paperwork timely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for loading heavy equipment onto lowboy for transportation, properly securing cargo, hauling equipment, and unloading equipment at various job sites safely and efficiently
• Will perform a pre-trip inspection
• Report any problems or malfunctions
• Comply with all company, DOT, Federal, State, and local safety regulations
• Will complete a trip ticket for each move, keep receipt of materials hauled, and turn in tickets promptly
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and completed all required paperwork timely
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
