Job summary

Savard Personnel Group is seeking a dedicated LowBoy Driver in Harahan, LA. You will operate a LowBoy with a low-deck trailer to transport oversized machinery and ensure safe loading, securing, and transit under DOT guidelines.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. This temp-to-perm role requires meticulous pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Operate a standard LowBoy with a low-deck trailer.
• Safely load, unload and position heavy equipment.
• Secure equipment with chains, binders and straps.
• Perform DOT-compliant pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drive a LowBoy truck to transport oversized machinery.
• Safely load/unload and position equipment on/off the trailer.
• Ensure cargo is secured and compliant with DOT guidelines.

Key Requirements

• Will be responsible to drive a Lowboy Truck, with a low-deck flatbed trailer to transport oversized or heavy machinery, like Bulldozers, Excavators, and more.
• Must be able to operate a standard LowBoy.
• Safely load, unload, and position heavy construction equipment or materials on and off the lowboy trailer.
• Meticulously tie down equipment using chains, binders, and straps to ensure nothing shifts during transit.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections according to DOT guidelines.

Shifts: Monday-Friday 0700-5PM
