Job summary
Structured Cable of Virginia is seeking a Low-voltage Wiring Technician to install, test, and service security, surveillance, and home entertainment systems for residential and commercial clients in Innsbrook, VA.
You will pull wires, splice and terminate cables, read schematics, and collaborate with leadership and sales to improve operations. A DCJS certificate and strong safety knowledge are required; competitive pay and benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- DCJS certification.
- Strong knowledge of safe low voltage wiring practices.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work an 8-hour shift.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Consent to background checks upon hiring.
Responsibilities
- Install and wire cabling for residential and commercial properties.
- Splice, terminate, and test low-voltage data cables.
- Set up cabling infrastructure and wall plates for neat layouts.
- Read wiring schematics to guide installation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with leadership and sales to improve operations.
- Install access control systems and video/security equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair security systems.
- Install AV components, in-wall/ceiling speakers, and network setup.
