Job summary

Synergy Fiber is seeking a Construction Technician / Low-Voltage Apprentice to support a commercial construction project in Ann Arbor, MI. No prior low-voltage experience is required. We train on the job and value dependable, hardworking individuals with hands-on trade experience.

You will join a team on commercial sites, learn to pull, route, and secure cable, install cable supports, and assist with communications and security infrastructure while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and construction sites.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team on commercial construction projects.
• Pull, route, and secure cable throughout commercial buildings.
• Install cable support systems such as J-hooks, cable tray, and ladder rack.
• Assist with the installation of communication, security, and technology infrastructure.
• Help build and organize equipment rooms and telecommunications spaces.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow project plans, installation standards, and safety procedures.
• Learn industry skills and technologies through hands-on training.
