Job summary

Amteck, LLC is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our Lexington team. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing low voltage cabling and devices in commercial and industrial facilities in the Lexington area.

Ideal candidates will have some construction experience, ability to read a measuring tape, and a basic understanding of customer relationships. Training will cover color codes, cable termination, and safe use of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Basic understanding of customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to learn low voltage cabling and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair devices and cabling of low voltage systems in commercial and industrial buildings, including pulling cable, fiber, and terminating cables.
• Learn color codes and how to punch down and terminate cables and fiber.
• Install cable trays and pathways in work sites.
• Develop ability to read schematics, drawings, wire maps and related documents.
