Job summary

Amteck Technologies is seeking a Tech 1 to join the Louisville team, focusing on low voltage system installation, testing and support in commercial and industrial settings.

You will install, maintain and repair devices and cabling, learn to read schematics and drawings, and develop a strong understanding of customer relationships as part of a growing division within the company. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, safety-focused practices and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry preferred but not required.
• Experience with low voltage systems preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read a measuring tape.
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of customer relationships and customer satisfaction, with an aptitude for growing that skill.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair devices and cabling of low voltage systems in commercial and industrial buildings including pulling cable, pulling fiber, learning color codes, learning how to punch down and terminate cables and fiber, and installing cable trays and pathways.
• Demonstrate ability to learn how to use hand and power tools in a safe and cautious manner.
• Begin learning how to read schematics, drawing details, wire maps, and other drawings.
