Qualifications

  • Ability to install, label, terminate, and test wiring and read control drawings and construction documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install BMS/BAS control wiring, EMT conduit, supports, junction boxes, enclosures, raceways, cable trays, and backboards.
  • Pull, route, label, terminate, and test control and communication wiring.
  • Install and wire sensors, thermostats, controllers, actuators, relays, transformers, meters, gateways, and control panels.
  • Perform point-to-point checks and assist with device checkout, startup, functional testing, and commissioning.
  • Calibrate control sensors and troubleshoot wiring, power, communication, grounding, and device-operation issues.
  • Read blueprints, control drawings, wiring diagrams, risers, submittals, mechanical plans, and control sequences.
  • Use a laptop and manufacturer software for device configuration, addressing, basic network settings, and troubleshooting.
  • Document completed work and field conditions; provide progress updates and coordinate with project managers and other trades.

Position Summary

Complete Mechanical Solutions is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage / Building Management System (BMS/BAS) Installation Technician. The ideal candidate can complete clean, organized, code-compliant commercial installations with limited supervision. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, punctual, dependable, resourceful, works well with others, and clearly communicates job-site conditions, progress, and concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install BMS/BAS control wiring, EMT conduit, supports, junction boxes, enclosures, raceways, cable trays, and backboards.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to install, label, terminate, and test wiring and read control drawings and construction documents.
  • Experience with multimeters, wire tracers, hand tools, power tools, and related test equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including laptops, email, mobile applications, and electronic drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between job sites.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and conduit-bending equipment.
  • Work overhead and in mechanical rooms, ceiling spaces, rooftops, and construction environments.
  • Bend, kneel, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods, indoors or outdoors in varying conditions.
Schedule and Travel
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday; overtime or occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be required.
  • Local job-site travel is required; occasional out-of-town travel may be needed.
Ideal Candidate

A dependable technician who takes pride in clean installations and is comfortable bending conduit, terminating wiring, reading drawings, installing BMS devices, and assisting with checkout and troubleshooting. Candidates primarily experienced in security, audiovisual, telecommunications, or data cabling must also demonstrate hands-on conduit-bending and HVAC-controls experience.
