Job summary

Flexible IT, based in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our Hardware Services Team. This role involves performing cable installations for Data, Voice, Fiber, and Paging.

Qualifications

• Industry-specific manufacturer and BICSI training and/or certifications (a plus).
• Drive company vehicles and operate tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting cabling systems.

Position

Low Voltage Technician – Hardware Services Team

Responsibilities

• Perform cable installation for Data, Voice, Fiber, and Paging.
• Terminate, label, test, and dress cabling.
• Install data equipment such as racks, patch panels, cable trays, and J‑hooks.
• Build out MDF/IDF closets.
• Rack and stack network devices in network closets.
• Repair and troubleshoot existing cabling system issues.
• Install access control cabling, boards, readers, and REX devices.
• Configure users, groups, schedules, doors, and credentials via access control software.
• Install wireless and electronic locks (a plus).
• Install cable for IP cameras.
• Install and program DVR recording units.
• Configure video analytics such as face detection, people tracking, motion detection, LPR, intrusion, and perimeter protection.

Additional Skillsets

• Project management.
